Roadmap & Beyond
Lee provided an overview of what the TASS team got up to in 2022 and some of the great things that have happened across the business over the past 12 months.
A focus on customer delight.
Doubling our Professional Services Team.
The launch of development for TASS Orbit.
Acquisition of TrackOne Studio.
Changes to our development team and release cycle.
Increased investment to engage with customers and prospective customers.
Maintaining our commitment to excellence in security and compliance.
Lee also discussed the tremendous growth TASS has experienced over the last 12 months with the introduction of 23 new staff members, 24 new customers and 3 new integration partners.
Annie provided her final services update as she has stepped into her new role and introduced Nikki Curtis, your new Customer Service Manager.
She then took a deep dive into some statistics from 2022 while also discussing the new services on offer from Professional Services, plus the new features and resources available through the TASS Customer Hub.
Not only did the Professional Services Team double in size in 2022, but their offerings also continue to expand with 11 new Small Group Training topics added in 2022!
TASS has been working hard behind the scenes this year to deliver highly-voted forum enhancement requests for our customers. To be specific, since the start of 2022 TASS has wrapped 465 tickets into enhancements!
Brad also explained our new development cycle and the recent move from two major releases a year to monthly releases, resulting in customers getting the enhancements they need, more quickly.
The new release cycle also saw the introduction of 'Friendly Releases' and 'Friendly Schools'. Friendly Schools take early access to new TASS versions to help with user acceptance testing and feedback.

Earlier in 2022, Annie stepped into a new position as Head of Product - Mobile Apps to lead the new mobile app initiative known as TASS Orbit.
TASS Orbit will be fully integrated and supported mobile apps leveraging the TASS Portal Products, built by a new dedicated team. After launch, features will continue to be added and developed alongside the existing TASS roadmap.
To ensure we get the feedback we need to create something great, a Special Interest Group (known as a SIG) has been formed consisting of 9 TASS schools. SIG members will be helping to shape the look, feel and functionality of the app, from initial design to prototypes and the final product launch.

Kate also discussed the acquisition of TrackOne Studio and how the Learning Analytics Suite has joined the TASS family of Products.
Accessible directly from within the Staff, Student, and Parent Portals, the Learning Analytics Suite is a natural extension of your existing TASS ecosystem, making it easier to access foster a data-rich culture across your school community.

To finish, Annie and Brad presented the new interactive development roadmap. This roadmap is updated regularly and provides customers with visibility on what we are working on.
The pair also gave an update on the Academic Reporting Overhaul. This massive undertaking is currently in development and the new Markbook is slated for a January/February 2023 release. Resources and training for these changes will become available closer to its release.
