During Term Two, TASS released Version 50 - an update containing over 50 highly sought after enhancements designed to optimise day-to-day tasks within schools.

TASS customers are currently enjoying features such as:

ONLINE LEAVE APPLICATIONS

Staff are able to submit an application for leave through a new program in Teacher Kiosk. Submitted applications are automatically routed through an approval workflow with applications then available in Payroll for inclusion in the next pay run.

Additional integrations to Leave & Substitutions means that this can also be used to provision covers, making it a single point of entry for all staff absences.

RESOURCE BOOKING SYSTEM

The new TASS Resource Booking System provides your school with a means to manage the use and availability of school facilities such as classrooms, sporting venues, computer labs, buses and ovals.

Residing in Teacher Kiosk, your staff are able to review availability across timetables and existing bookings to secure a timeslot.

PARENT ABSENCE REPORTING

Parents are able to submit the details of student absences online using Parent Lounge, streamlining your attendance process.

A 'Notification from Parent Lounge' program within the TASS Attendance module will then allow your school to review and process incoming absence records easily and efficiently.

STUDENT ANALYTICS API

The new TASS V50 release includes a new API that replicates the student and academic analytics in Teacher Kiosk, giving you more insight into student performance across subjects.

This will allow your school to connect external data visualisation software such as Microsoft Power BI - and view your data, your way.

Our second major release of the year has even more exciting new features designed to assist schools in operating smoothly.

ADDRESS VALIDATION & HEAT MAPPING

It's vital your school has accurate address information for your attending families. TASS Version 51 will include address validation and heat mapping, for improved accuracy.

Address data entered by parents or staff will be checked and verified against known Australian postal addresses. Administration staff will gain insight into where current and prospective students are funnelling from, using a range of new heat mapping options.

PARENT ACCOUNTS: DIRECT DEBIT SELF SERVICE

Give your school's families the freedom to schedule and manage their own account payments via Parent Lounge, using the new TASS Direct Debit Self Service program.

Using a trusted payments partner, parents will be able to configure account payment plans from bank accounts or credit/debit cards, within parameters that can be defined and customised by the school.

MERGE STUDENT DETAILS TO PDF TEMPLATES

Add a personalised touch to your communications with new families, using the ability to merge student details into pre-made email and PDF templates.

Whether it's a letter of offer, invitation to orientation, or any other material your school may need to send - your email and attached PDF will be automatically populated with the new family's details, saving your school administration time whilst treating the new student like the individual they are.

MOBILE RESPONSIVE TEACHER KIOSK

We understand that staff are often on the move, and sometimes things need to be done on the go - whether it's at a sports event, on the way to an excursion, or on the playground.

From September, our teacher portal will be fully mobile responsive - giving teaching and administration staff the freedom to perform their duties when they need to, where they need to.
