This enhancement is only supported in Community Mode. As a result, Community Plus is a pre-requisite of Version 52.
This means that all companies in your TASS instance will need to be Community Plus enabled before you upgrade.
The Community Plus program provides functionality to find, maintain and manage information about the ‘people’ who make up your school community.
It puts all the information about a ‘person’ into a single record where you can identify who that person is, how that person relates to your school, and how that person relates to other people at your school.
In TASS.web, click on the About button in the toolbar to find out if Community Mode is set to 'Yes'. You’ll need to do this for each company in TASS.
1. Ensure you are running TASS Version 51.4.095
2. Review the Project Implementation Plan
3. Run the Community ‘Pre-Sweep’ Reports
The most critical task of the Community Plus project is fixing data inconsistencies that will prevent the Final Community Sweep (enabling Community) from running correctly.
These reports have been specifically designed to help your school check, review and prepare your database.
4. Enable Community
Once the ‘Pre-Sweep’ Reports return with no issues, Community Mode can be enabled.
After running the Pre-Sweep reports, you’ll have an idea of your data needs in preparation for switching on Community.
These reports will include detail on how to fix data issues and will also help you decide whether to recruit help from TASS or DIY.
Package | Consulting, Data Work & Training Pass
$1500 +GST
Highly recommended for schools who are not Community 'enabled' in their ‘main’ operating company*. TASS will determine what sweeps require data work. The school will still be required to complete some data cleansing through the User Interface.
* a ‘main’ company is one that’s used for student maintenance.
DIY
No cost
This option is for schools that have minimal data cleansing to complete, or, for the power users that are confident with resolving the issues in the Pre-Sweep reports and enabling Community themselves.
If you have chosen the DIY option, use the Implementation Project Plan and jump onto the TASS Community Forum to collaborate with others.
